Billionaire and owner of the Inter Miami soccer team (responsible for bringing Lionel Messi to Miami) just offloaded a South Florida estate for $13.9 Million–marking the priciest sale ever for a property in Pinecrest.

Joshua Kaufman with The Buchbinder Group at Compass represented the buyer, The Village of Pinecrest. The municipality has plans to convert the property at 11855 SW 60th Road into a passive park and indoor facility for the community. Mas is donating $3.9 million of the purchase price back to the municipality in exchange for naming rights for the proposed park.

The estate spans 5 acres and is the largest privately owned residential parcel in Pinecrest. The tropical oasis, formerly owned by the Montgomery family, popularly known as the founders of Fairchild Gardens, features original landscapes by Raymond Jungles with an extensive and rare collection of exotic trees and plants throughout. Serene trails, lush gardens and hidden retreats all overlook a lagoon and a resort-style home features over 11,000 square-feet with large open living spaces, 5 bedrooms, 8 baths & 2 half baths. A separate two-story structure includes a state-of-the-art wine cellar and entertainment area, complete with a tennis court and grotto-inspired pool detailed with cascading natural stone.
